Icewine Vinegar

 

Grilled Pound Cake with Icewine Vinegar

Ingredients: (serves 4)

1 pound cake cut in 1" slices
8 tsp. icewine vinegar plus 2 tbsp icewine vinegar set aside
1 quart fresh strawberries
Whip cream
Fresh mint (optional)
Spray cooking oil

Method: Wash, hull and slice strawberries.  Pour 2 tbsp icewine vinegar over strawberries and set aside to marinate.  Drizzle 1 tsp. icewine vinegar over each side of pound cake.  Pre-heat non-stick pan or BBQ.  Spray pan or grill with cooking oil.  Grill pound cake on high heat till lightly browned, about 2 minutes each side.  Plate pound cake, top with strawberries and whip cream and finish with fresh mint leaves.

Take your favourite custand, add whipped cream, 2 tsp of icewine vinegar and top with fresh fruit.
